First Week, 106 pairs of shorts
Today completed my first week. It was a great week. I completed 106 pairs of size 3T shorts for boys and girls of Haiti. If I can get in 5 extra pairs a week, that will give me an extra day each month for illness, etc. I will try to post a photo of all the shorts from this week. Thanks for your support and for following this blog. It keeps me going to know that people are keeping me accountable. 106 down 4894 to go!!

Dear Rita, What a sweet, thoughtful gesture for those poor, precious children in Haiti. Bless their little hearts! May God give your little hands the ability to reach your Amazing Goal! I'll be glad to help any way I can! I can't sew a thing, however! Goodluck! Jenn R.
ReplyDeleteI think is a truly remarkable and admirable goal. I will continue to pray that God continues to give you the strength to complete each's day's quota. As the preacher said at church this morning, God doesn't give us what we need to get through the week, the month or the year. Instead, he give us just what we need to get through the day - just like with the manna in the desert. Take it one day at at time. If I can do anything, please let me know. I can come over one Saturday and just help cut patterns or press or anything.
ReplyDeleteRita, it touched me that you have taken on this task to help the children of Haiti. I too related to the movie "Julia & Julie" and not completing things that I have started. I am here to support you as you undertake this and will help you anyway that I can. I know that you will be able to complete this and just think of all the little children that you will help.
